Why Are You Persecuting Me?

I saw a light from Heaven
Brighter than the sun
Shining around me

I heard a voice from heaven
Speak to me

Why why do you persecute me?

I am Jesus

Get up and stand

I have appeared to you for this purpose

You are to serve

And be witness
Of things you have seen
And of things in which I will appear to you

I will rescue you from the people
to whom I now send you
that they may see

so their eyes will turn from darkness to light
so their hearts turn from the Satan to God

I have called you
To share with those who found peace

My peace I give you

For you have faith in me

I wish before God
that whether easily
or with difficulty
Not only you
But all who listen
May become as I am

A new man
