Rain and Pain

I was looking for this bird when I heard a voice cry
I want to leave this cage
but I can't find the key

I stood at the door
But I could not pass through

And then what was worst

I would no longer reach you

Friend on the outside
Can you feel what's it like on the inside
Where I cannot be what I know
I was born to be

So I am am searching for the bird from the mountain

Won't you tell him I am aching

Aching for Freedom

Freedom to learn

Aching for freedom

Freedom to learn

And the mountain heard his cries
And cried from way up high
The mountain cried so deeply
It was plain to see

The bird was not coming

And the bird could not be seen

And so the rain brought no relive but pain

Where is my mountain bird?

The mountain bird flying near me

I can sense

But I can't see

And that's why I must write this for you

For the bird is with you too

Or have your lost it?

Or have you put it in a cage?
